Detroit Pistons Assign Ellenson, Gbinije And Hilliard

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - The Detroit Pistons announced today that the team has assigned forward Henry Ellenson and guards Darrun Hilliard and Michael Gbinije to the team's NBA Development League (D-League) affiliate, the Grand Rapids Drive.

Ellenson has appeared in 14 games this season with the Pistons, averaging 1.5 points and 0.9 rebounds in 4.0 minutes per game. He was selected with the 18th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. In 14 games with the Grand Rapids Drive this season, Ellenson has averaged 17.4 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 blocks in 34.8 minutes per game.

Hilliard has appeared in 27 games (one start) this season with Detroit, averaging 3.3 points, 1.0 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 10.7 minutes per game. He was selected with the 38th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. In three games with Grand Rapids this season, Hilliard is averaging 25.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 0.7 steals in 34.9 minutes per game.

Gbinije has appeared in nine games this season with the Pistons, averaging 0.4 points and 0.3 rebounds in 3.6 minutes per game. He was selected with the 49th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. In 13 games with the Drive this season, Gbinije has averaged 13.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.8 steals in 35.8 minutes per game.
