THE NIGHTBENEFITS THE GRAND RAPIDS URBAN LEAGUE

GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN (JANUARY 17, 2018) - The Grand Rapids Drive, the official NBA G League affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, announced that tonight's 7:00 PM (ET) game against the Windy City Bulls (Chicago Bulls affiliate) is Chemical Bank's fourth annual Jersey Takeover Night benefitting the Grand Rapids Urban League.

Doors open to the public at 6:00 PM (ET).

"As a community bank, we are committed to making a difference in West Michigan," said Joel Rahn, Regional President, West Michigan. "We are proud to partner with the Grand Rapids Drive for their Jersey Takeover Night that will benefit the Grand Rapids Urban League, an organization dedicated to empowering communities and changing lives."

The game will feature the Drive's 50/50 mini ball toss and a jersey auction where all the proceeds will benefit the Grand Rapids Urban League. 50/50 balls are available for purchase until the end of the third quarter.

The Grand Rapids Urban League assists all people in achieving self-sufficiency and equality. It is a place where everyone is empowered through economic independence and is an organization that helps people help themselves to a better way of life. All are welcome at the Urban League and everyone belongs--a place where people come together to creatively solve issues and become champions of their own advancement and empowerment. Their mission statement reads, "To provide the means to empower African Americans and other minorities to achieve economic self-reliance, parity, and civil rights."

Chemical Bank designed jerseys that will be worn by the Drive players during the game. A booth will be set up near the merchandise table where fans can place bids on the jersey(s) of choice. The auction will conclude at the end of the third quarter. The winner of each jersey will receive a text message during the fourth quarter and should plan on making payment by the end of the game. Winners of each jersey will receive a photograph with the player and, at a later date, the signed jersey.
