
Brigade's Shane Boyd Named AFL Offensive Player of the Week

BALTIMORE, MD - The Arena Football League announced today that Baltimore Brigade quarterback Shane Boyd has been named Week 7's Offensive Player of the Week for his strong performance that resulted in giving the Albany Empire their first loss of the season.
Boyd threw for 261 yards and six touchdowns to lead the Brigade to a narrow 42-41 victory against the previously unbeaten Empire last Saturday. The six touchdowns tied his previous season high from Week 1 against the Washington Valor and the 261 passing yards are his second-highest this season.
Boyd, a seven-year veteran, is in his third season with the Brigade. He is leading the league with the fewest interceptions with 4 and has completed 150 passes for 1,625 yards and 31 touchdowns this season.
The Baltimore Brigade take on the Columbus Destroyers this Saturday, June 15 at 3:30 p.m. at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
