Blue Beat Warriors to Wrap up Day Two of Showcase

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario- The Oklahoma City Blue (18-9) defeated the Santa Cruz Warriors (13-12), 95-86, to cap off Day Two of the 2017 NBA Development League Showcase.

The Blue's Reggie Williams led all scorers with 26 points on 10-of-19 shooting to go with seven boards in 32 minutes. Dakari Johnson had 25 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks in 35 minutes. Daniel Hamilton also pitched in a double-double for OKC by scoring 11 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in 28 minutes.

With the game tied 68-68 and 2:44 left in the third period, the Blue made their move with a 17-0 run that spanned 5:48 of game clock. During the run, Oklahoma City forced 11 consecutive Santa Cruz misses and three turnovers while hitting all seven trips to the foul line. The Blue never looked back from there, with their lead only falling below double digits in the final minute of the game.

Dennis Clifford scored 14 points and grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds with two steals and three blocks in 35 minutes for the Warriors. Alex Hamilton came off the bench to score 16 points and dish out five assists in 34 minutes. Scott Wood hit 5-of-14 three-point attempts to help total 16 points with eight rebounds in 34 minutes for Santa Cruz.

Oklahoma City swept its pair of Showcase games and will next host the Iowa Energy on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 8 p.m. ET on Facebook Live. Santa Cruz will face Texas on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 10 a.m. ET on Facebook Live.
