
Bighorns to Face Warriors and Stars

The Reno Bighorns announced today that they will take on the Santa Cruz Warriors and the recently relocated Salt Lake City Stars (former Idaho Stampede) in a three-way preseason game on Sunday, Nov. 6 at the Kaiser Permanente Arena (3 p.m. PT) in Santa Cruz, CA. The exhibition game will consist of six 12 minute quarters with each team playing each other two quarters each with a 15 minute halftime/warmup between halves (10 minutes for the sitting team and five additional minutes for opponents). The timeout limit for the first quarter of each half will be waived. Quarters ones, three and five will be designated as "teaching quarters" in which the timeout limit will be removed. Last season, the Bighorns went 3-3 against the Warriors while going 5-1 against the Idaho Stampede. The Bighorns wrapped-up the 2015-16 season with a 33-17 regular season record, earning the title of Pacific Division Champions. The Bighorns open the 2016-17 season on Sunday, Nov. 13 on the road before returning to the Reno Events Center for their 2016-17 Home Opener on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. against the Oklahoma City Blue.
