BIGHORNS PARTNER WITH SCHEELS FOR MILITARY APPRECIATION THEME JERSEY NIGHT
All Proceeds from Jersey Auction to Benefit the Nevada Veterans Memorial for Veterans Day Clash
RENO, Nev. - The Reno Bighorns will unite with SCHEELS to host Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, Nov. 11 to benefit the Nevada Veterans Memorial when the Bighorns host the Wisconsin Herd at 7 p.m. at the Reno Events Center on Veterans Day.
Bighorns players will wear custom Bighorns/SCHEELS uniforms that will be auctioned off throughout Saturday's game with all proceeds benefiting the Nevada Veterans Memorial.
"We are extremely excited for the opportunity to partner with the Bighorns and have an impact for Nevada's veterans," said Ryan Renard, Marketing Coordinator for Reno/Sparks SCHEELS. "Making this night all about the Nevada Veterans Memorial has been in the works for quite a while, and I'm thrilled to see it come to fruition."
Additionally, the first 300 veterans to stop by the SCHEELS table will receive a token of our appreciation for your service. Fans will also be able to enter a SCHEELS gift card giveaway throughout the game.
The jersey design itself pays homage to the Silver State's rich history of veteran support and honors all those who have served from Nevada with an outline of the state on the back. Each jersey will have a black and purple camouflage design that is a nod to the solidified and strengthened partnership between the Sacramento Kings and Bighorns. Finally, the purple striping acknowledges one of the Kings' most outstanding players, Mitch Richmond, and his signature Air Jordan X PE colorway.
Founded in 1902, SCHEELS has become the premier sporting goods retailer in the communities it serves. What began as a small hardware store in Sabin, MN, grew into the world's largest all-sports store with the opening of the Sparks, NV location in 2008. SCHEELS has built a reputation for not only being a leader in sporting goods and apparel, but also as being a leader in the community. SCHEELS has always worked to support sports programs at the high school and college level, but this will be one of the first partnerships to take place on the professional level with an NBA G League team.
