
Bighorns Log Second Biggest Win of the Season in Victory over Austin

RENO, NV ---- With the Bighorns knocking down 18 threes and logging their second biggest win of the season, the Bighorns defeated the Austin Spurs 121-92 Saturday night at the Reno Events Center. The Saturday night win puts the Bighorns half a game back from first place in the Western Conference.
Erick Green led the Bighorns with 24 points, six rebounds and three assists. Ricky Ledo totaled 21 points six rebounds and two assists in the contest as David Stockton notched 20 points, three rebounds and six assists Saturday night.
Stockton led the Bighorns in the first quarter with nine points and two assists. Hunter notched six points and three assists in the quarter as Kadeem Jack had six points and three rebounds.
During the second quarter, Green led the Bighorns with nine points and three rebounds. Stockton tallied eight points and two assists. Ledo had five points and five points in the quarter while Hunter scored five points and added two rebounds.
The Bighorns outscored the Spurs 59-41 at the half, going 25-53 (47.2 percent) from the field compared to the Spurs going 17-44 (38.6 percent) from the field.
Green scored 11 points in the third quarter while Chad Toppert went 3-3 from the field in the quarter, totaling 10 points in the third. Ledo notched 7 points in the quarter. The Bighorns shot 63.6 percent from the three-points range compared to the Spurs going 0-3 from the three-point range.
Ledo led the Bighorns in the fourth quarter with nine points while Toppert and Stockton scored three points each.
The Bighorns outscored the Spurs 62-51 in the second half. The Bighorns shot 55 percent from the three-points range compared to the 10 percent from behind the arc.
The Bighorns travel to Idaho to face the Idaho Stampede on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at 6 P.M.
