
BIGHORNS BEGIN SEASON OF GIVING TO BENEFIT COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY

RENO, Nev. - The Reno Bighorns will begin their 2017 Season of Giving by joining forces with the St. Paul's Community Food Pantry for a canned food drive to benefit those who are in need in the greater Reno/Sparks area during the holiday season. The drive will take place during the Bighorns' November 17 and November 19 contests. Fans who make a nonperishable food donation will receive a complimentary ticket to the night's game.
The food drive collection will start when doors open one hour prior to tip-off. Fans can bring any non-perishable food item to the Reno Events Center entrance, where they will receive a game ticket.
The Community Food Pantry provides emergency food to those who are in need; in the greater Reno/Sparks area. Twice a week, they offer individuals and families once a month a three-day food supply. Since its inception, the food pantry has grown through the dedicated service of its volunteers who log 5000 volunteer hours annually. The food pantry serves 20,000 people annually, half of those served are children.
