BayHawks Take Down Mad Ants in Back-And-Forth Thriller

Fort Wayne, IN- The Erie BayHawks (11-23) took down the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (19-12) in a wire-to-wire contest tonight, 102-100.
The BayHawks and Mad Ants both shot well in the first half with Fort Wayne shooting 50 percent from the floor and Erie a tick above at 52 percent. The BayHawks forced seven turnovers in the half but the Mad Ants carried a one-point lead into half, 56-57.
After both teams combined for only 31 points in the third quarter, the BayHawks let the Mad Ants slip away to a five-point lead before Stephen Zimmerman put away a dunk and Robert Vaden knocked down a three-pointer to retie the game with 4:06 to play. The team's traded baskets until Zimmerman made a go-ahead layup with :34.9 to play to secure Erie's fourth win in five games.
Gabe York led the BayHawks with a game-high 24 points on six-of-10 from the behind the three-point line to go with six rebounds and three assists. Kalin Lucas had 23 points and four assists off the bench. Branden Dawson and Anthony Brown each pitched in 16 points and five rebounds apiece.
Trey McKinney-Jones notched a team-high 23 points for the Mad Ants. Alex Poythress posted a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds. Travis Leslie had 12 points and nine rebounds off the bench.
