Erie BayHawks News Release
Erie, Pennsylvania - The Erie BayHawks are partnering with the Erie County Department of Health to host a NBA FIT youth basketball clinic to promote health and wellness. The clinic will be held at the Boys & Girls Club of Erie on June 24th with a guest appearance by Jordan Sibert of the 2015-16 BayHawks team.
The clinic will give 200 elementary students the opportunity to partake in a skills camp with Sibert free of charge thanks to the partnership with the Erie County Department of Health. The camp is by invitation only.
NBA FIT is a comprehensive health and wellness platform promoting healthy, active lifestyles for children and adults. The NBA FIT initiative encourages physical activity and healthy living for children and families through being active, eating healthy, and playing together.
In an effort to continually support the platform, the BayHawks will use the clinic to launch a season-long initiative to activate NBA FIT in the Erie community. The BayHawks initiative will culminate in a NBA FIT game during the 2016-17 season.
