Erie, Pennsylvania - The BayHawks have announced the addition of nine players to the training camp roster as affiliate and returning players, and tryout invitees. Branden Dawson, Cliff Alexander, and Ramon Galloway join the BayHawks as Orlando Magic affiliate players. Alex Davis and Aaron Bowen return after spending the entirety of the 2015-16 season with Erie, and open tryout invitees include Jordan Green, Terrence Jennings, Michael Lyons, and John Petrucelli.

Dawson spent eight games with the BayHawks last season during one of his three D-League assignments from the Los Angeles Clippers. He averaged 19.9 points and 8.3 rebounds while with Erie. Dawson was drafted with the 56th overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft by the New Orleans Pelicans, but was part of a draft night deal that sent him to the Clippers. Prior to his stint in the NBA, Dawson was a four-year standout at Michigan State. In his senior season he was honored with a Second-Team All-Big Ten selection while averaging 11.9 points and 9.1 rebounds. Dawson was signed by the Magic on September 8 after being waived by the Clippers and designated as an affiliate player by the Magic on October 17.
Alexander comes to the BayHawks after playing last season with the Portland Trail Blazers. He earned a training camp invite after going undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft. Last season while with Portland, he was assigned to the Santa Cruz Warriors for four games where he averaged 12 points and 7.3 rebounds-per-game. Previously, Alexander spent one season with the Kansas Jayhawks in 2014-15. While at Kansas, he averaged 7.7 points and 5.3 rebounds-per-game. He was signed by the Magic on September 8 and waived on October 17 after Portland waived him in July.
Galloway comes to the BayHawks after playing for OpenJobMetis Varese and Fulgor Omegna of SerieA2 League of Italy last season. In 26 games, he averaged 11.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.0 assists-per-game. He has played for three other international teams, Igokea (Bosnia), Skyliners Frankfurt (Germany), and Derthona Totona (Italy), since going undrafted in the 2013 NBA draft. He has played for the Denver Nuggets, Chicago Bulls, and Charlotte Hornets summer league teams in various stints. Prior to his professional career, Galloway was a standout at La Salle University. He averaged 17.2 points, 2.6 assists, and 3.6 rebounds in his senior season and was voted to the 2012-13 All-Atlantic 10 First Team while leading La Salle to the Sweet Sixteen. Galloway was signed by the Magic on October 21 and waived on October 22.
Davis returns to the Erie BayHawks following a 2015-16 season that saw him move from tryout invitee to starting power forward. Davis began his basketball career at NJCAA Hutchinson Community College in Kansas and went on to transfer NCAA Division I Fresno St. for his junior and senior seasons. Davis averaged 4.8 points behind 47% shooting in his senior season. After going undrafted, Davis made the BayHawks opening night roster for the 2015-16 season and went on to consistently start while averaging 8.6 points and 5.2 rebounds-per-game behind 46% shooting.
Like Davis, Bowen returns to the BayHawks after making the opening night roster via tryout in the 2015-16 season. Prior to his season in Erie, Bowen walked on to the Georgetown Hoyas basketball team. He earned steady playing time by his senior season, appearing in all 33 games while averaging 6.0 points and 3.7 rebounds-per-game. He appeared in 36 games for the BayHawks last season while posting 11 starts. He notched 5.3 points-per-game on 52% shooting from the field.
Green earned an invite to BayHawks training camp after a successful four-year collegiate career at Texas A&M, which saw him improve in each season. After holding a steady role as a reserve in his first three seasons at A&M, Green moved into the starting five in 2014-15 and was one of only two players on the squad to start all 33 contests while averaging 6.1 points-per-game. Green was an efficient shooter, notching a 50% field goal percentage and 38% shooting from behind the arc. In addition to on court success, Green made his presence known off the court during his time at A&M, earning a nomination to the 2015 Allstate NABC Good Works Team. The Allstate Good Works Team honors 10 members from every division of the sport for their commitment to working with the community and positively impacting lives through service.
Jennings rejoins the BayHawks through open tryout after previously playing for the team for one game in the 2012-13 season, and 45 games in the 2013-14 season. 2013-14 saw Jennings start 14 games and average 9.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.1 assists-per-game with the BayHawks. Jennings opted to forgo his senior season at Louisville in 2010-11 and joined Liege Basketball of Belgium where he averaged 8.7 points and 5.1 rebounds in 32 games prior to being drafted by the Iowa Energy in the 2012 NBA Development League Draft.
Lyons joins the BayHawks via tryout. Lyons played for four-years with the Air Force Falcons at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. He earned Mountain West All-Conference First Time Honors in his senior season in 2013 behind 17.7 points-per-game, in addition to second and third team accolades in his junior and sophomore seasons. Lyons served the remaining 18 months of his military commitment upon graduation from Air Force. He most recently competed in The Basketball Tournament with a team made up of Air Force basketball alumni.
Petrucelli comes to the BayHawks following two seasons with BK Iskra Svit, a member of Slovakia's top league, Extraliga. Last season, he averaged 16.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists-per-game. Prior to his time in Slovakia, Petrucelli played four years with NCAA Division II Molloy College where he is the all-time leading scorer. While at Molloy, Petrucelli was named East Coast Conference player of the year in 2014, garnered ECC All-First Team honors in 2013 and 14, and Daktronics NCAA D2 All-East Region Second Team. The Bakersfield Jam rewarded Petrucelli with an eighth-round pick following his collegiate career but he was later waived after being traded to the Maine Red Claws.
The 2016 BayHawks training camp roster will be finalized after this Sunday's NBA Development League Draft. The BayHawks pick first overall and hold seven picks in the six-round draft.
BayHawks training camp begins Tuesday, November 1st at Penn State-Behrend Junker Center. The 2016-17 season kicks off on November 12th against the Windy City Bulls. Tickets are available at eriebayhawks.com.
