Erie, Pennsylvania, November 21 - The Erie BayHawks have acquired guard Gabe York from the available player pool the team announced today. York will fill the roster spot vacated by Anthony Brown's GATORADE Call-Up to the New Orleans Pelicans earlier today.
York joins the BayHawks from the University of Arizona where he was a four-year standout. In his senior season, he was selected to the All-Pac-12 Second Team while averaging 15.03 points, 2.24 assists, and 3.21 rebounds on the year.
York played for the Charlotte Hornets Orlando Pro Summer League team after going undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft. In five games, he averaged 9.8 pints, 1.6 assists, and 2.67 rebounds while shooting 47% from the field and 36% from three-point range.
York is anticipated to be in uniform when the BayHawks visit the Greensboro Swarm on Friday and Saturday.
