
Amerks Sign Defenseman Nick Bailen to ATO

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that the team has signed defenseman Nick Bailen to an Amateur Tryout.
A native of Fredonia, NY, the 23-year-old Bailen recently completed his collegiate career at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). Bailen led RPI in scoring this season with 31 points (12+19) in 35 games. His 12 goals and seven power play goals also tied for the team-lead. The 5-foot-9, 185-pound Bailen was a two-time All-ECAC First Team honoree (2010-11, 2012-13) and finished his college career with 105 points (33+72) in 149 games with RPI (2010-11 to 2012-13) and Bowling Green University (2008-09). Bailen also played four seasons with the Indiana Ice of the USHL.
