FINDEPENDENCE, MO (July 9, 2015) - The Missouri Mavericks announced Thursday afternoon that they have signed forwards Rocco Carzo and Tristan King to standard player contracts for the 2015-16 ECHL season.

"We are excited to sign both Carzo and King, having played together majority of last season, we know they will work well together and be great additions to our lineup in the fall," said Richard Matvichuk, Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations.

Rocco Carzo and Tristan King were acquired by the Mavericks on June 16 as part of a future considerations element in a trade with the Ontario Reign (then of the ECHL) that sent Josh Brittain to the Reign ahead of the 2015 ECHL trade deadline.

"I feel very fortunate to sign with a first-class organization like the Missouri Mavericks," said Carzo. "I am extremely excited to get started with this new chapter of my career, having heard nothing but great things about the city, the team, and the fans; I look forward to a long, successful season in Missouri."

Carzo, a native of Media, PA, is heading into his fourth professional season this fall. The 6'1", 204lb forward played a total of sixty-four (64) regular season games for the Ontario Reign last season, scoring twenty (20) goals and twenty-two (22) assists, notching an additional eight (8) points during the Reign's nineteen (19) game post-season run. Carzo also spent seven (7) games with the Norfolk Admirals (then of the AHL) during the 2014-15 season.

Twenty-four year old Tristan King approaches his sixth professional season, having spent time with six different ECHL clubs and one AHL team (Texas Stars), to open his young career. King's 2014-15 season with the Ontario Reign earned him a fifty (50) point run (13G, 37A), scoring seventeen of those points through seventeen playoff games. The 6'0" center hails from Elk River, MN.

"I'm looking forward to training camp and excited to be a part of the Missouri Mavericks this season," said King. "I know the Mavericks have a large fan-base, and I can't wait to see them firsthand."

The Mavericks begin their 2015-16 campaign on the road in Anchorage, Alaska for their first-ever matchup against the Alaska Aces.
