Bighorns Cruise to Victory over Stampede

RENO, Nev., Mar 22, 2015-With the Bighorns leading every quarter of the game and David Stockton logging a triple-double, the Bighorns got the "W" with a 128-113 victory over the Idaho Stampede at the Reno Events Center Sunday night.

David Stockton led the Bighorns after dishing out 36 points, ten rebounds and 14 assists. It is Stockton's first triple-double of the season. Dar Tucker had 36 points and 10 rebounds in the contest while Coby Karl totaled 14 points, 11 rebounds and six assists.

Jared Cunningham paced the Stampede with 29 points, five rebounds and five assists. Quan Prowell and Brandon Fields finished with 16 points each. Prowell added 15 rebounds and four assists for the Stampede while Fields had five rebounds and nine assists.

Ra'Shad James, Stockton and Tucker led the Bighorns in the first quarter with seven points each. James notched three rebounds while Tucker had four rebounds. Sim Bhullar and Tajuan Porter had four points each. Stockton had six assists in the quarter.

In the second quarter, Tucker led the Bighorns with 13 points and two rebounds. Cameron Ayers tallied eight points while Stockton notched six points and three rebounds.

The Bighorns shot 42.1% from the field in the first half compared to the Stampede's 35.3%.

Karl, Stockton and Tucker had seven points each in the third quarter. Stockton grabbed three rebounds and added four assists in the third while Bhullar totaled four rebounds in the quarter.

During the final quarter in play, Stockton notched 16 points and added two rebounds and three assists. Tucker had nine points and three rebounds in the fourth. The Bighorns shot 60.0% from the field in the quarter compared to the Stampede's 39.1%.

The Bighorns return to the Reno Events Center Wednesday, March 25 at 7 p.m. to face the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
