Tri-City Americans News Release

KENNEWICK, WA - Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has signed 15-year-old prospect Zach Andrusiak (pron. An-droo-zee-ak) to a standard WHL Players Contract.

Andrusiak, a 5'10 165-pound forward from Armstrong, British Columbia, played this season with the U18 Prep team at the Pursuit of Excellence Hockey Academy, competing in the North American Prospects Hockey League. Andrusiak played in 23 total NAPHL games, collecting 12 goals, 28 points and 2 penalty minutes. Andrusiak finished second in team scoring in both goals and points, behind teammate and 2013 1st overall Bantam Draft selection, Tyler Benson (Vancouver Giants). Including exhibition and tournament play, Andrusiak finished with 35 goals and 82 points in 66 games played. Andrusiak was originally listed by Tri-City in December of 2013.

"Zach is a highly skilled forward that had an outstanding year playing for POE U18 in Kelowna," stated Tory. "We are happy that Zach and his family have chosen our program for his career path and look forward to watching Zach compete for a spot on our roster at Main Camp in August."
