
2013 BayBears Hall of Fame Candidates Announced

This year the BayBears want to get the fans involved in choosing the next BayBears Hall of Fame inductees.
We will be posting eight former BayBears players below and on our Facebook page and fans can comment on the Facebook post with their two picks as well as email their votes to hof@baybears.com. The voting will last for three weeks and each week the two players with the least amount of votes will be taken off the list, leaving four finalists.
On Friday, June 7th we will unveil the two winners at the game against the Tennessee Smokies. We will also be honoring the inductees from 2012 Justin Upton and Mark Reynolds.
2013 Candidates: Paul Goldschmidt - In 2011 hit .306 with 30 home runs and 94 RBIs.
Carlos Gonzalez - In 2007 hit .286 with 16 home runs and 75 RBIs.
Max Scherzer - In 2007 in 14 games started he was 4-4 with a 3.91 ERA.
Bryan Byrne - Played three season in Mobile from 2008-2010. Holds BayBears all time RBI record with 141.
Dale Thayer - In 2005 and 2006 lead the Southern League in saves with 27 in 2005 and 2006.
John M. Powers - Played four seasons in Mobile and in 1998 hit .303 with 12 home runs and 52 RBIs.
Javier Brito - Played two seasons in Mobile and won the batting title in 2007 with a .327 average.
Mike Mitchell - In 1998 hit .318 with 15 home runs and 97 RBIs.
