Quebec 6, Trois-Rivieres 5 (10 innings)

It took an extra frame but the defending Can-Am League champion Quebec Capitales finished off a season-opening four game sweep of Trois-Rivieres Aigles with a 6-5 win Sunday afternoon. Quebec 2B/3B Jonathan Malo brought home the winning run in the bottom of the tenth inning with a single that scored RF Dany Deschamps. It was Malo's only hit of the day but he had a team-high two RBI. Deschamps led the Capitales with three hits in four at bats while scoring twice and adding an RBI of his own. For the Aigles, SS Cam Kneeland belted his first homerun of the young season in the fourth inning. That shot was good for three RBI, a team-high. P Kyle Regnault picked up the win for his two innings of scoreless relief work.

St. Paul 9, New Jersey 3 (Delayed - 8 innings)

The St. Paul Saints of the American Association are leading the New Jersey Jackals 9-3 after the completion of eight innings in an inter-league contest. Rain suspended play.
