
Donald Audette and Joël Bouchard Co-Chairs of the Gatorade Excellence Challenge

BOUCHERVILLE, Wednesday May 1st, 2013 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League unveiled today, the two Honorary Co-Chairs of the Gatorade Excellence Challenge, a whole new event on the QMJHL schedule. The two Co-Chairs are Donald Audette and Joël Bouchard. This year's inaugural event will take place at the Centre d'Excellence Sports Rousseau in Boisbriand from May 3 to 5.
Donald Audette played three seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with the Laval Titan, collecting a impressive 309 points before being drafted by the Buffalo Sabres. During his NHL career he scored 250 goals for a total of 500 points and is currently a scout for the Montreal Canadiens.
Joël Bouchard played four season in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with the Collège Français, collecting 200 points before being drafted by the Calgary Flames. He participated in the World Under-20 Championships. He is also President and General Manager of the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada.
One hundred and twenty among the top prospects for the upcoming draft will be divided into six different teams from Hockey Canada branches on the QMJHL's territory.
Two teams will represent the Province of Quebec while Prince-Edouard-Island, Newfoundland/Labrador, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia will each have one team competing in the event. Every team will play a minimum of five games during the event.
