NBL Canada's Brampton Franchise to Make Special Announcement

(TORONTO, ON) The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that our new Brampton professional men's basketball team will hold a press conference on Wednesday, May 1st at 1:30 PM at the Powerade Centre in Brampton, ON with a luncheon immediately following.

The Brampton ownership group will officially introduce themselves and greet the public. Brampton Mayor Susan Fennell, NBL Canada President & CEO Andre Levingston and the General Manager/Head Coach of the team will be along with other key stakeholders in attendance for the occasion.

The City of Brampton's expansion bid was approved on March 11th, 2013.

With the addition of Brampton, the basketball franchise will bring unique benefits to the city while performing on Canada's national stage with the pride of participating in the National Basketball League of Canada.

The new organization has become the tenth team in the National Basketball League of Canada and will be added to the Central Division alongside the London Lightning, Oshawa Power, Ottawa Skyhawks and Windsor Express.
