Bandits Announce Open Tryouts, June 1

ROSEMONT, Ill. - The Chicago Bandits will have their annual open tryouts for the 2013 squad on Saturday, June 1 from 10 - 3 p.m. at The Ballpark at Rosemont.

Tryouts are open to females, ages 21 and over and a $40 payment must be sent to the Bandits by May 31. Payment should be mailed to 27 Jennie Finch Way, Rosemont, IL, 60018 or faxed to 630-396-3095.

Participants will be required to bring their own equipment, including a bat, mitt, helmet, cleats, slidin g pad and batting gloves. Potential drills to be conducted are hitting, fielding, timed base running and position-specific drills.

Fans are encouraged to come out and watch potential Chicago Bandits players to try out for a spot on the team free of charge.

The Bandits have selected three current players through open tryouts including Danielle Zymkowitz, Jenna Grim and Brittany Cervantes.

Opening Day for the Bandits is scheduled for Wednesday, June 5 against Akron Racers at The Ballpark at Rosemont.
