Pensacola's Ryan Salvis Named Easton Player of the Month

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (April 5, 2013) - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Ryan Salvis of the Pensacola Ice Flyers is the Easton Player of the Month for March.

Salvis scored nine goals, including two game-winners, and added eight assists in 12 games in helping Pensacola to a third-place finish in the standings, just two points behind Fayetteville and Louisiana.

Salvis had four multi-point games and was kept off the scoresheet just twice last month. He also recorded points in 27 of his last 32 games played. In a 4-2 win over Columbus on March 19, Salvis had a hand in all four Pensacola goals as he recorded his second hat trick of the season and added an assist.

Salvis was second in the SPHL scoring race, finishing the season with a career-high 64 points. His 39 assists and 14 power-play assists both ranked second while his 25 goals were fourth-best among all SPHL players.
