Lancers Break League Attendance Record

Rochester Lancers News Release


(Rochester, NY) - The Rochester Lancers today announced that they lead the MISL in overall attendance. Averaging over 6,000 fans per game, the Lancers twice broke single game attendance records this season reaching over 8,000 and 10,000 fans. In the second year of the franchise, the Lancers experienced a 13% increase in single game attendance average.

The Lancers potential first round home playoff date will be Tuesday, March 5. Kickoff would take place at 7pm on the Christopher J. Wilmot Field at the Blue Cross Arena.

To reach the playoffs, the Lancers need the Chicago Soul to lose their final two games and Syracuse to finish with less than 10 wins. Chicago hosts Missouri Wednesday at 8pm ET and Syracuse Friday at 8:30pm ET. With three remaining games left, Syracuse hosts Milwaukee Wednesday at 7pm before heading to Chicago Friday at 8:30pm ET and Milwaukee on Saturday at 7pm ET.

Lancers defender Elliot Fauske was today named the MISL Player of the Week! His pair of goals helped the Lancers secure their first ever win over defending champs, Milwaukee Wave. Teammate Evan McNeley was named to the Team of the Week, for his three points, eight blocks in two key wins for the Lancers.
