
Santa Cruz Warriors Fall in Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Santa Cruz Warriors fell to the Sioux Falls Skyforce 99-83 Tuesday night in a game where two Warriors players logged season-high points totals.
The Santa Cruz Warriors were paced by Daniel Nwaelele, who scored a season-high 21 points off the bench, connecting from 4-of-6 behind the arc. Moe Baker added a season-high 20 points, while Chris Johnson grabbed 9 boards.
Every player on the Sioux Falls Skyforce's active roster scored in Tuesday's game. Demetris Nichols led all scorers with 26, while Dexter Pittman, currently on assignment from the Miami HEAT, logged the only double-double of the night with 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Santa Cruz never led in the game and trailed by as much as 26, but went on a 15-4 run in the third quarter and cut the deficit to just three in the fourth quarter following a Justin Johnson jumper. The Skyforce shot 53.9% from the field and held the Warriors to just 38.2% shooting. Sioux Falls won the rebound battle (47-31) and scored more points in the paint (44-24).
