Memphis Grizzlies Re-Assign Tony Wroten to NBA D-League Affiliate Reno Bighorns

NEW YORK, Dec. 26, 2012 - The Memphis Grizzlies today re-assigned rookie guard Tony Wroten to the Reno Bighorns, the Grizzlies' NBA Development League affiliate. The assignment is the record 73rd of the 2012-13 NBA and NBA D-League seasons, and is the second for Wroten this year. He is one of 43 NBA players who've been assigned to the NBA D-League this season.

Wroten (6-6, 208, Washington) has appeared in three games for Memphis this season, averaging 2.7 minutes. In his previous six-game stint with Reno, Wroten averaged 13.3 points, 3.3 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 22.8 minutes.

Selected in the first round (25th overall) of the 2012 NBA Draft, Wroten spent one year with the Huskies, when he averaged 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.9 steals. For his efforts, he was named All-Pac 12 Freshman of the Year (2012).

Wroten is expected to join the Bighorns today and be available when the team plays at Idaho on Friday, Dec. 28 in Reno.
