
Dallas Mavericks Assign Jared Cunningham to NBA D-League Affiliate Texas Legends

NEW YORK, Dec. 11 2012 - The Dallas Mavericks have assigned rookie guard Jared Cunningham to the Texas Legends, the Mavericks' NBA Development League affiliate. The assignment is the 43rd of the 2012-13 NBA and NBA D-League seasons, while Cunningham becomes the 31st NBA player to have been assigned this season.
Cunningham (6-4, 195, Oregon State) has appeared in seven games for the Mavericks this season, averaging 2.3 points in 3.4 minutes per game. He was selected in the first round (24th overall) of the 2012 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers, and his rights were subsequently traded on Draft Night to the Mavericks, along with the rights to Jae Crowder and Bernard James, in exchange for the rights to Tyler Zeller and veteran Kelenna Azubuike.
Cunningham is expected to be available on Saturday evening when the Texas Legends host the Rio Grande Valley Vipers at 8 p.m. ET.
