Mill Rats Drop First of Two Road Games

(Oshawa, ON): The Saint John Mill Rats, presented by Rogers, dropped their first of two road games in Oshawa this evening against the Power, with a final score of 111-103.
The Mill Rats fought hard in the first pulling ahead 10-17 with 5:27 left on the clock but Oshawa was able to power up and close the first half leading 52-45.
After first half, Nick Okorie from the Power had 16 points, while Anthony Anderson and Antonio Burks each had 9 for the Mill Rats.
In third quarter action, the Power were able to establish their lead after three consecutive three pointers from Larry Diamond.
The Power pulled ahead by as much as 19 points in the fourth, but the Mill Rats were able to battle back to close the gap, 111-103.
Leading scorers for the Mill Rats were Antonio Burks with 22, Anthony Anderson with 21 and Steve Deluca with 16.
Oshawa's bench played a huge game contributing 43 points. Leading scorers were Jushay Rockett with 21, Mark Gomillia with 18 and Nick Okorie with 16.
The Mill Rats fall to 3-5 while the Power rise to 5-4 on the season.
The Mill Rats travel to London, Ontario tomorrow to take on the undefeated Lightning at 8pm AST.
Catch the Mill Rats back in action at Harbour Station on Dec. 1st as they host the Montreal Jazz. Game time is 7pm.
