Baseball America Announces Top Prospects
October 11, 2012 - American Association (AA) News Release
Baseball America recently announced its Top 10 Prospects in the Independent Leagues for the 2012 season. Fargo-Moorhead OF Buddy Sosnoskie (pictured) was ranked #7, while St. Paul Saints RHP Robert Coe was rated #8. James Hoyt (Wichita Wingnuts) followed at #9 and Lincoln Saltdogs RHP Brandon Sinnery was the #10 prospect.
Wichita OF David Peralta, Laredo Lemurs RHP Gabe Zavala and Sioux Falls Pheasants RHP Kyle Mertins were also recognized by Baseball America. They were members of the Second Ten, ranking #11, #15 and #19, respectively.
The list was limited to players who were 25 or younger on September 1.
