SPHL Announces Remainder of Preseason Schedule

CHARLOTTE, NC (October 9, 2012) - The Southern Professional Hockey League today released the remainder of its preseason schedule.
The previously-announced exhibition game in Bossier-Shreveport will now feature a former Central Hockey League team. The Mississippi RiverKings, a long-time rival of the former Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs, will now travel to Bossier City on Saturday, October 20 to take on the Louisiana IceGators at the CenturyLink Center.
"We are excited to be able to send the RiverKings to play in a building they are very familiar with," added Combs. "I'm sure Mudbugs fans still remember some of the great Central Hockey League games between the two teams."
In addition to the announced preseason games in Nashville and Bossier-Shreveport, six other contests appear on the exhibition schedule which follows:
Thursday, October 18
Mississippi Surge at Louisiana (at LA Ice), 7:05 p.m.
Friday, October 19
Mississippi Surge at Pensacola, 3:00 p.m.
Augusta at Columbus (at Columbus Ice Rink), 7:30 p.m.
Knoxville at Huntsville, 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, October 20
Huntsville vs. Knoxville (at Bridgestone Arena, Nashville, TN), 7:00 p.m.
Mississippi RiverKings vs. Louisiana (at CenturyLink Center, Bossier City, LA), 7:00 p.m.
Pensacola at Columbus (at Columbus Ice Rink), 7:30 p.m.
Augusta at Fayetteville, 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, October 21
Huntsville at Mississippi RiverKings, 3:05 p.m.
