Bighorns Announce Dates for Memphis Open Tryouts

RENO, NEV., September 4, 2012 - The Reno Bighorns will hold open tryouts for the 2012-13 season on September 22-23 at the Memphis Grizzlies practice facility, the team announced today.

Tryouts will begin Saturday, September 22 at 9 a.m. at the Grizzlies practice facility, located at 191 Beale Street. The tryouts will continue on September 23 from noon until 3 p.m. Paul Mokeski, the Bighorns' head coach and former NBA player, will be conducting the tryouts.

"We are looking for that diamond in the rough," said Bighorns Owner Herb Santos, Jr. "Last year, we had four players from our open tryouts make the training camp roster and two, Reuben Clayton and Zach Graham, make our opening day roster."

Anyone who would like to try out is encouraged to fill out the online registration form, which can be found at www.renobighorns.com. The cost to try out is $150. Participants must be 18 years old to try out.

The Bighorns are holding open tryouts in Sacramento at the Kings' practice facility on September 14-15. Dates for tryouts in Salt Lake City and Reno will be announced at a later date.
