
Reno Bighorns Announce Dates for Sacramento Open Tryouts

RENO, NEV., August 8, 2012 - The Reno Bighorns will hold open tryouts for the 2012-13 season September 14-15 at the Sacramento Kings practice facility, the team announced today.
Tryouts will begin Friday, September 14 at 2 p.m., with check-in starting at 1:30 p.m. at the Kings practice facility. The tryouts will continue the next day. Paul Mokeski, the Bighorns' head coach and former NBA player, will be conducting the tryouts.
"We are looking for that diamond in the rough," said Bighorns Owner Herb Santos, Jr. "Last year, we had four players from our open tryouts make the training camp roster and two, Reuben Clayton and Zach Graham, make our opening day roster."
Anyone who would like to try out is encouraged to fill out the online registration form, which can be found at www.renobighorns.com. The cost to try out is $150. Participants must be 18 years old to try out.
For more information, participants can call the Bighorns front office at 775-284-2622. The Bighorns will also be holding tryouts in their other affiliate cities, Memphis and Salt Lake City, as well as in Reno. Dates for those tryouts are still to be determined.
