Rochester Americans Announce Preseason Games vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton
August 2, 2012 - American Hockey League (AHL) Rochester Americans
(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that the Amerks will play two preseason games against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, including one in Rochester.The home-and-home series between the teams will start on Wednesday, Oct. 3 when the Amerks host the Penguins at The Sports Centre at MCC in Rochester at 7:05 p.m. Ticket information will be announced at a later date.
On Friday, Oct. 5, the Amerks will travel to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to face the Penguins at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
The Amerks' Home Opener for the 2012-13 AHL regular season is set for Friday, Oct. 12 at 7:35 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena. Other guaranteed home dates already on the schedule are Friday, Nov. 9; Friday, Nov. 23; Wednesday, Dec. 26; Friday, Dec. 28 and Friday, Jan. 25. The complete regular season schedule, with dates and opponents, for the 2012-13 regular season will be announced later this month.
