STOCKTON, Calif.- The Ports right-handed pitcher Josh Bowman made his 16th appearance of the season on July 6th against the Bakersfield Blaze. He allowed just 4 hits over 7 innings with 11 strikeouts and 0 walks. This earned him the honor of California League Pitcher of the Week for the week of July 2-8.
Bowman has had an impressive start to the second half of the season. As of 7/9, he has posted a 2.70 ERA in 20 IP. Also in the second half he has had 20 Ks and only allowed 1 walk. He is the 3rd Ports pitcher and the 5th Ports player to be recognized by the California League this season.
