Georgia alum, Kristyn Sandberg did not dissappoint as she stepped up to the plate five times in the opening weekend, yielding a RBI single her first time at bat. For the weekend series against the Chicago Bandits,the USSSA Pride went 1-3 as Sandberg maintained a .600 average with three hits, a double and two RBI's total.When did you get to Orlando?
KS: We left for Florida about a week and a half ago.
What was it like to play on the professional level?
KS: Well the competitiveness week in and week out. You have to always be on your A game.
You're playing with some of the best softball players in the world. How does it feel to be considered in that category and is it at all intimidating?
KS: It's an honor to play with former Olympians. It's not really intimidating, but it is a learning experience.
What's your favorite movie and TV show?
KS: Favorite Movie: Toy Story
Favorite TV Show: Law and order SVU
Favorite Quotes:
KS: I don't really have any favorite quotes, but I love the speech from Miracle. "They might beat you ten times but tonight's important."
Any guilty Pleasure?
KS: Ice Cream
Favorite moment in softball?
KS: My first trip to NCAA Women's College World Series in 2009 as a freshman. We finished in the Final 4.
If you weren't playing softball what would you be doing?
KS: Playing ice hockey.
What are your current living conditions?
KS: I live in a house with 3 other players Danielle Lawrie, Tonya Callahan and Sarah Pauly. When we're on the road Brittany Mack is my roommate.
Where are your practices held?
KS: We practice in Kissimmee, Florida.
