Bandits partner with Batterz Box, Official Ticket Vendor for 2012 season

ROSEMONT, Ill. - The Chicago Bandits announced today that they have agreed to a partnership for the 2012 season with The Batterz Box in Libertyville, Ill. (1336 S. Milwaukee Avenue).

As a partner with the Bandits, The Batterz Box will serve as an Official Ticket and Merchandise vendor for the 2012 season. Customers at The Batterz Box will be able to purchase tickets and select Bandits merchandise at the Libertyville location just like at the Bandits box office.

"This is a great opportunity for the Bandits to get into a different community," said GM Aaron M. Moore. "We have had some fans from the Libertyville area, and this should only make their experience easier.

"Having another outlet to sell tickets is a great step in the right direction for the Bandits."

In addition, the Bandits and Batterz Box will host an informative clinic for parents and coaches at a later date in the fall. The clinic will be held at the Batterz Box facility.

The Batterz Box will also be demonstrating their products at various Bandits games throughout the season. Demonstrations will be held before the Saturday, June 9 game vs. the USSSA Pride as well as the Saturday, July 21 game against the Carolina Diamonds.

Founded by Dutler in 2011, The Batterz Box is a sporting goods retailer that specializes in selling baseball and fastpitch softball equipment, products and apparel. With six batting cages throughout the store, including L-screens, tees and balls customers can test out bats and gloves before they purchase them allowing them more confidence and competence on the field.

The Bandits kick off the 2012 season on Saturday, June 2 with a special day designed for fans, including a meet-n-greet. Opening Day is scheduled for Thursday, June 7 when the Bandits host the USSSA Pride at The Ballpark at Rosemont.
