
Marc Krauss Named Southern League Player of the Week

Mobile BayBears Professional Baseball, the AA affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, are pleased to announce that Marc Krauss has been named the Southern League Player of the Week for the week ending on April 29.
Krauss, 24, lead the BayBears in four wins over the last week. Krauss batted a Southern League best .417, going 10 for 24 at the plate, belting eight extra base hits, including two triples and a home run. Adding to the offense, Krauss drove in seven runs and drew four walks.
Krauss was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the second round of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Ohio. Named a Southern League Mid-Season All Star last year, Krauss was a crucial part of the BayBear's 2011 Southern League Championship, finishing the 2011 season with 16 home runs and 65 RBI.
