Fighting Saints Come Marching in for Playoffs

INDIANAPOLIS - The second round of the 2012 USHL playoffs will pit the Indiana Ice against the defending Clark Cup Champion Dubuque Fighting Saints. Games one and two are this Friday (4/20) and Saturday (4/21) at 7:05 p.m. from Pepsi Coliseum.

Indy is coming off a first-round playoff bye while Dubuque eliminated Team USA by defeating the squad 2-0 in a best-of-three first round series. Forward Tyler Lundey exploded for six points

(4G, 2A) for the "Saints" in the two playoff wins, which included a hat trick in the series opener on Monday.

The Ice and Fighting Saints split the four-game regular season series with both teams winning their two games on their home ice. Daniil Tarasov (4G, 3A) and Jake Fallon (6A) combined for 13 points to lead the Icemen, while Christian Hilbrich and Sean Kuraly chipped in with three goals. Jon Gillies was 2-1-0 with a 2.86 GAA and a .923 SV% in net.
