Legends Fall in Season Finale to Armor

Frisco, TX - The Springfield Armor visited the Texas Legends for the first time this season on the final day of the regular season. In a game that featured 10 players scoring double digit points, the Armor topped the Legends 105-98.

The teams were neck and neck through the first five minutes of the game when JamesOn Curry hit a three pointer to start a rally that put the Armor up by eight to end the quarter. Jerry Smith led the Armor with nine points in the first in route to a 20 point, 3 rebound, 4 steal game.

Sean Williams and Dan Gadzuric both produced their 2nd double-double in back to back games. Williams finished the night with 20 points and 11 rebounds in 43 minutes of action. Gadzuric put forth another impressive rebounding performance, grabbing 15 rebounds and scoring 13 points on the night.

The Legends rallied in the third taking a one point lead by the end of the third. The charge was lead by Dominique Johnson who scored 9 points in the quarter and finished with 20 points in the game.

L.D. Williams, Jeff Foote, JamesOn Curry, Jerry Smith, and Lance Hurdle all scored double digit points for the Armor in the regular season finale. Jeff Foote scored 16 points and pulled down 14 rebounds.

Other Notable performances by the Legends: Chris Roberts had 10 points and 6 rebounds, Antonio Daniels had 15 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Other notable performances by the Armor: L.D. Williams scored 19 points and had 9 rebounds. Lance Hurdle 14 points, 5 rebounds and had 3 assist.

With the win, Springfield clinches the Eastern Conference Title for the season.
