
Florida's Pitt Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Rookie of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Florida Everblades forward Scott Pitt is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Rookie of the Month for March.
The 24-year-old scored seven goals, added 12 assists and was a +13 in 14 games during March, helping the Everblades to an 11-3-0 record in the final month of the season.
Pitt had three multi-point games during the month, including a career-best five-points (1g-4a), and a +5 rating, in an 8-2 win at Trenton on March 11. Twice during the month, Pitt tallied three points, notching three assists in a 9-3 win against Kalamazoo on March 2, and adding another three assists in a 4-2 victory at Reading on March 18.
A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Pitt was fourth among ECHL rookies with 58 points (22g-36a) in 63 games this season. He tied for the lead among all rookies with six game-winning goals, and he was tied for third among first-year players in plus-minus at +20. His 22 goals were tied for second on the Everblades, while his 36 assists ranked third on the club. Pitt also appeared in six games this season with Charlotte of the American Hockey League.
Prior to turning pro, Pitt played four seasons at Mercyhurst College where he tallied 132 points (47g-85a) in 156 career games.
