Pink in the Rink Is Back in Biloxi

Biloxi, MS - The Mississippi Surge are proud to announce their Third Annual "Pink in the Rink Night for Breast Cancer Awareness", to be held on February 26th at 3:05 as the Surge face off against the Mississippi RiverKings. In addition to the game, the Surge will host an event and jersey auction at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino immediately following the game. A portion of the proceeds from the auction will benefit Pink Heart Funds, a local organization that works with cancer patients.
"We're honored the Surge have selected us as the charity for Pink in the Rink this year," said JoAnn Nicely, President of Pink Heart Funds. "We know this is going to help so many people."
The Beau Rivage Casino and Resort and Garden Park Medical Center have joined forces with the Surge to help raise funds and awareness for this great cause.
"We know Pink in the Rink is more than a hockey game," said Surge Vice President of Communications Steve McCall. "This is a major fundraiser for a great cause and it's something everyone on the coast can get behind, as they've done in the past."
The Surge will wear special jerseys on Sunday to commemorate the event which will then be auctioned off.
"This will be a special event for us here at the Beau Rivage.," added Executive Director of Food and Beverage for the Beau Rivage, Ron E. Hall. "We know Surge fans will come out here after the game to meet the players and attend the jersey auction. We hope everyone comes out to support the Surge ad Pink Heart Funds."
Garden Park Medical Center's Director of Business Development and Marketing Julie Tate is also excited for the event. "The thing about Pink Hearts Fund is they do such great work to help patients of all kinds of cancer, and the work they do for kids with cancer is especially touching and moving. This really is an event the whole community can rally around for the Surge and Pink Heart Funds."
