Los Angeles' Gerald Green Named NBA Development League Performer of the Week

NEW YORK, Feb. 13, 2012 - Gerald Green of the Los Angeles D-Fenders was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Feb. 6-12, when the D-Fenders went 4-0.

Green, a 6-8, 200-pound forward, averaged 27.3 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 54 percent from the floor last week. He recorded back-to-back 30-plus point games, including a 35-point performance in a 138-107 win over the Erie BayHawks on Feb. 6, and a 31-point outing on Feb. 8, in a 110-98 win over the Tulsa 66ers.

For the season, Green is averaging 19.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 19 games for the D-Fenders.

Other top performers considered Idaho's Marcus Banks, who averaged 18.5 points and 4.5 assits in two games; Rio Grande Valley's Will Conroy, who averaged 14.5 points and 11.5 assists in two games; Reno's Andre Emmett, who averaged 25.7 points and 7.3 rebounds; Canton's Manny Harris, who averaged 20.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in two games; Maine's Kenny Hayes, who averaged 18.7 points and 8.7 assists in three games; Springfield's Dennis Horner, who averaged 19.3 points and 10.0 rebounds in three games; Fort Wayne's Ron Howard, who averaged 24.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in two games; Erie's Mike James, who averaged 25.7 points and 5.3 assists in three games; Tulsa's Marcus Lewis, who averaged 14.7 points and 14.3 rebounds in three games; Austin's Leo Lyons, who averaged 23.5 points and 17.0 rebounds in two games; Sioux Falls' Gabe Pruitt, who averaged 16.7 points and 6.7 assists in three games; Iowa's Curtis Stinson, who averaged 15.5 points and 8.0 assists in two games; Texas' Alando Tucker, who averaged 23.3 points and 5.3 rebounds in three games; Dakota's Edwin Ubiles, who averaged 27.0 points and 5.7 rebounds in three games and Bakersfield's Jeremy Wise, who averaged 18.7 points and 5.3 assists in three games.
