Hammerheads Partner with Knox Clinic Pediatrics

WILMINGTON, N.C. - The Wilmington Hammerheads are pleased to announce a new partnership with Knox Clinic Pediatrics as their primary sponsor of all 2012 Wilmington Hammerheads youth camps.
Knox Clinic Pediatrics, established in February 1977, is the oldest pediatric clinic in the Wilmington area treating numerous youth patients a day. Established by Angelina Knox, the practice was turned over three years ago to Dr. Leonard Edralin, Knox's son, who now runs the clinic.
"I am excited to support the Wilmington Hammerheads' Youth Camps because it is vital for kids of all ages to participate in sports activities," said Edralin. "Besides obvious health benefits for the kids who experience these physical activities and play sports growing up, they also tend to perform better in school and go on to a college or four-year institution after high school," continued Edralin.
As a local children's healthcare service, Knox Clinic Pediatrics is a perfect partner and sponsor for the numerous youth camps that the Hammerheads host for the community during their regular season. As the primary sponsor, Knox Clinic Pediatrics will be prominently featured on Hammerheads' camp banners, brochures, flyers, and in the 2012 Game Program.
The Wilmington Hammerheads host their first youth camps of the 2012 season during New Hanover County school's spring break the week of April 2nd-5th at both the YMCA and Veterans Park. They are the first of nine Hammerheads' Youth Camps that will run from April through August all throughout the greater Wilmington area.
