Mississippi Surge News Release

Coming Home: The Mississippi Surge return home playing two home games sandwiched around a road game. The Surge will entertain Pensacola on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. at the Coast Coliseum. Those same two teams play Friday in Pensacola at 7:05 p.m. The Surge will host Fayetteville, on Sunday, at 5:05 p.m.

$5 Night: Tuesday night will be Beau Rivage $5 fun night. Fans can get tickets for Tuesday's game for only $5 courtesy of the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino. Not only can fans get tickets for $5, their ticket is also good for a half price buffet at the Beau Rivage, before or after the game.

TEAAM Up: For Sunday's game, the Surge is spotlighting the efforts to create awareness about autism. The Surge is partnering with the agency Together Enhancing Autism Awareness in Mississippi for Sunday's game. As part of the activities, recording artist Bethany Burnette, will perform the National Anthem. She will also perform a song from her CD during the first intermission. This will be a launching of sorts for Burnette, who will perform at the home game of the NBA's Orlando Magic on February 6th.

Fight To Win: The Surge has run its winning streak to three games, after winning a pair of fight filled games in Fayetteville on Friday and Sunday. Each game featured a brawl that had surge goalie Kiefer Smiley involved in a fight each game. The Surge won a back-and-forth contest on Friday, 5-4. Then on Sunday, scored early and never trailed in a 5-2 win. With the two wins, the Surge also has now picked up points in six of its last seven games.

Tickets Here: Tickets for all Surge games are on sale now. For group discounts and more information call the Surge at 228-287-PUCK (7825).
