North vs. South:The Mississippi Surge again hosts the Mississippi RiverKings, as the team located in north Mississippi visits the south.

Records: The Surge is 10-14-2 for 22 points in seventh place.

The RiverKings are 7-15-3 for 17 points in ninth place.

Season Series:This is the fourth match-up of the the in-state rivals. They will play each other five more times this season. The Surge won the first two games of the season series, with the RiverKings winning the most recent meeting 3-2 in a shootout on their home ice last Tuesday.

Recent Action: The Surge suffered its most lopsided loss of the season on Friday, falling to Knoxville, 6-1. The RiverKings saw a 3-0 lead evaporate last night in Huntsville, surrendering a goal with three seconds left in regulation time, and then the game winning goal just 18 seconds into overtime in a 4-3 loss at Huntsville last night.

Jersey Grant-ed-: Jeff Grant who led the Surge comeback in last Thursday night's win at Knoxville with two goals in the final 1:35, is tonight's Surge Shirt of His Back Night player. Fans can buy raffle tickets at each merchandise stand, the fan assistance center at the top of section 14, or from the ticket sellers moving throughout the arena. The winning number will be announced midway through the third period. The winner will be escorted down onto the ice at the end of the game and receive the game worn jersey directly from Jeff himself.

Kinnunen Counts: Although the Surge scored only one goal Friday night (by Rob Campbell), Matt Kinnunen assisted on the goal, stretching his point streak to three games. He had scored a goal in each of the previous two games.

Next Up: The Surge concludes a three game homestand on Friday the 13thagainst Augusta. That is the Surge Pucks for Paws Night with the Surge making a donation for every ticket purchased with the coupon code PAWS to the Humane Society of South Mississippi.
