Ouellet and Gagnon traded to Chicoutimi

Gatineau - The Gatineau Olympiques have traded the forward Christian Ouellet and the defensemen Mathieu Gagnon to the Saguenéens of Chicoutimi after their game against the Sea Dogs of Saint-John.

In return, the Olympiques will receive a 1st round pick in 2013, a 2nd round pick in 2013, a 3rd round pick in 2012, a 4th round pick in 2012 and the17 years old defensemen Mickael Beauregard.

Christian Ouellet, 20 years old, will have played 4 seasons with Gatineau. He took part in 207 games, scoring 51 goals and 83 assists for a total of 134 points. Ouellet was first scorer for the Olympiques with 40 points in 40 games this year.

As for Mathieu Gagnon, he was at his third season with the Olympiques. In 131 games, he scored 11 goals and 62 assists. Gagnon is presently second defensemen in the QMJHL right behind Jérôme Gauthier-Leduc for number of points. He also has 40 points in 40 games this season.

Finally, Mickael Beauregard is at his first season in the QMJHL. He has played 19 games this season with Chicoutimi. He has 1 goal and 1 assist. He's 6''03 and 172 pds.
