CHARLOTTE, NC - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced it has suspended Augusta forward Aaron McGill one game and fined him an undisclosed amount for an incident during the RiverHawks' game against the Mississippi Surge on Tuesday, December 27.
"Mr. McGill's actions as he exited the playing surface last night were unacceptable," stated SPHL President Jim Combs. "In speaking with Mr. McGill this afternoon, I believe he is genuinely sorry for his conduct. However, players cannot display aggressive behavior or use profane language toward our fans without being held accountable."
