
Skyforce Announces Roster Changes

Sioux Falls Skyforce News Release
Sioux Falls, S.D. (Dec. 15, 2011) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the team has reacquired guard Stephen McDowell and acquired forward Jamelle Horne from the available player pool. To make room for the new players on the roster the team waived guards Brian Evans and Anthony Moody. The active roster now stands at nine players.
McDowell holds NBA Development League career averages of 7.5 points and 2.2 assists in 51 games with the Bakersfield Jam (3), New Mexico Thunderbirds (32), Austin Toros (3) and Skyforce (13). He averaged 7.7 points and 2.0 assists in 13 games with the Skyforce last season after being acquired from the available player pool on March 9. The 6-0, 180-pound guard was named All-Southern Conference First Team after averaging 18.1 points and 3.3 rebounds in 35 games (all starts) as a senior at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2008-09.
Horne averaged 6.4 points and 4.2 rebounds in four seasons (129 games) at the University of Arizona. He tied for the team lead with 50 3-pointers and ranked second in the Pac-10 with a .435 3-point field goal percentage (50-of-115) as a junior in 2009-10. The 6-7, 224-pound forward averaged 20.9 points, 10.7 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.5 blocks his senior season at San Diego High School.
