Wildcats' Roman Will Named Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week

Toronto, ON - The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Roman Will of the Moncton Wildcats is the Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending November 13 after posting a 2-0-0-0 record including a shutout victory with a goals-against-average of 0.50 and save percentage of .983.

Will recorded his first career shutout on Saturday night as part of a 4-0 win over the Baie-Comeau Drakkar. He made 29 saves and was named first star of the game. His week also included a 28-save performance as part of a 5-1 win over the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles where he was also named third star of the game. The Screaming Eagles' goal ended a shutout streak of 129 minutes and 21 seconds for Will, just 50 minutes shy of the club record.

Will, a 19-year-old native of the Czech Republic is playing in his first QMJHL season. So far this season he carries a 13-9-1-0 record with a goals-against-average of 2.76 and a save percentage of .899.

Also considered for the award this week was Corbin Boes of the Brandon Wheat Kings who went 2-0-0-0 with a goals-against-average of 1.13 and save percentage of .965. In the OHL, Igor Bobkov went 3-0-0-0 including a shutout victory with a goals-against-average of 2.33 and save percentage of .938.
