FORT WAYNE, Ind. (November 6, 2011) - John Snowden scored back-to-back second period goals, Jared Brown provided would proved to be the power play game winner in the third period and David McKee made 31 saves as the Quad City Mallards came from behind to defeat the host Fort Wayne Komets 3-2 Sunday.

What had been a one-goal Mallard lead stretched to 3-1 when Brown- who also picked up an assist- drove home the Flock's second power play goal of the game from the left wing circle at 3:32 of the third period. Brown's goal would stand up as the difference after Fort Wayne's Frankie DeAngelis pounced on a loose puck in the slot to cut the gap to 3-2 at 9:02 of the third. The Komets pressured for a late equalizer after pulling goaltender Nick Boucher with 1:37 remaining but McKee- who made 11 saves in the third period- and the Mallards held on to the final horn.

The Mallards first took the lead when Snowden scored twice in two minutes and ten seconds late in the second. The Mallards were on the power play when he tied the game at one by burying a rebound from the right wing circle at 15:03. He then snapped the deadlock with another blast from the right circle at 17:03.

Bobby Chaumont's drive from the top of the right wing circle had given the Komets a 1-0 lead at 5:30 of the first period. The Mallards, however, were able to recover for a win that halted Quad City's brief two-game losing streak.
