Sioux Falls, S.D. (Sept. 30, 2011) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that Greg Stiemsma has signed a contract with the NBA Development League and will report to training camp with the Skyforce in early November.
Stiemsma averaged 8.8 points, 7.1 rebounds and a league-leading 3.6 blocks in 45 games (44 starts) with the Skyforce in 2009-10. He was rewarded for his stellar play as he was named NBA D-League Defensive Player of the Year and All-NBA D-League Honorable Mention. The 6-11, 260-pound center earned a call-up to the Minnesota Timberwolves after averaging 15.0 points, 10.7 rebounds and 4.3 blocks in three postseason contests. He was originally acquired by Sioux Falls before the final regular season game of the 2008-09 season.
Season tickets and 12-ticket flex packs for the 2011-12 season are on sale. Discounts and benefits are available for groups of 10 or more. Single game tickets will go on sale on Monday, Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. The home opener is set for Saturday, Nov. 26 against the defending NBA D-League champion Iowa Energy.
